Zsanna

Zsanna Sebesteny, aka Zsanna Bird River, author, grew up during the Cold War and the ecocide revelations of Rachel Carson, author of Silent Spring. Inspired by the vision of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, sung in their ode to life, Imagine, Zsanna has always sought what the 'Peace and Love' generation lacked in order to realise their intention to make love and not war. The answer came when she encountered Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects, a powerful process where we confront the denial and anaesthesia that allow humans to continue to participate in the plundering of the world, despite our common sense and our best intentions. This deep ecology, which reminds us of our profound interconnection with the living world in and around us, opened the way for Zsanna to receive the story "Guardians of the Poison Fire", which emerged as a memory from future generations.
