Imagine V.2026

with deep gratitude to John Lennon and Yoko Ono for their vision,

that has carried me since my childhood.

I am so sad and angry seeing people refused safe passage from one country to another. And I don't mean only the migrants in life-and-death situations, even though their situations are often horrendous and totally unacceptable and I wish them with all my heart to be welcomed to a peaceful place they can settle.
I am also touched by the daily frustrations like a French friend being offered work in England and not being able to get the documents necessary to go in time to accept the job. Grrr!

So I offer my rather clunky update to John and Yoko's Imagine, to try to express my indignation for the displaced ones, and for all of us who wish to move freely without being tracked In our daily activities.

I long for a world where TRUST SETS US FREE !

Imagine there’s no fences

It’s easy if you try

No keys or padlocks

Around us open land

Imagine all the people

Welcoming each other… Aha-ah

Imagine there’s no borders

it isn’t hard to do

No passports or security checks

And no visas, too

Imagine all the people

Living life in trust… You….

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the (first or) only one

I’m sure someday you’ll join us

And the world will be as one

Imagine no passwords

I wonder if you can

No insurance or data trackers

Not a single police van

Imagine all the people

Moving freely around the world

You may say I’m a dreamer

But there are tons of us today

We are joining hands and hearts

To shine light in every way
